It’s time for another Grand Series of Poker over at Hollywood Poker. The 2009 Grand Series, otherwise known as Grand Series of Poker III, starts at the end of September and runs through mid-October, and this time is worth a guaranteed $3,100,000.The Hollywood Poker Grand Series of Poker III has 15 events, running September 27 – October 11.
Hollywood Poker has a satellite structure scheme awarding free seats in the GSOP III main event, otherwise known as the Grand Slam Final which happens on October 18. From September 27 to October 11, Hollywood Poker is running GSOP III Leaderboard Tournaments and GSOP III Grand Slam Qualifiers for getting into the big event at low cost (as low as $11). There’s also one Last Chance Qualifier taking place the day of the big event itself.
There’s also a GSOP side-bet going on over at HollywoodPoker, for any player wishing to pay an extra $1,000 into the pot for a chance at some higher-stakes action on top of the $3 million guaranteed prize pool.

The second instlalment of Hollywood Poker’s Grand Series of Poker is coming up soon (April 12 – May 3 to be exact) and that means its time to get ready for the qualifiers for the May 3rd Grand Slam Final main event.
With an estimated $3 million prize pool, this promises to be the biggest Hollywood Poker Grand Slam yet. Starting on April 12, players have 3 ways they can try and satellite their way into the big event. From April 12 to May 2 there will be an ongoing leaderboard running for the 16 GSOP II events leading up to the main event Finals.
While the winner of each event (barring event #13, the special Grand Tournament Finals) will win a free ticket into the May 3 Grand Slam Final, 2nd through 10th place finishers will compete for another free ticket, as will 11th through 30th place finishers, and those placing 31st through 100th, making 4 tickets in all available through this route.
In addition will be qualifiers running every day of the series at 3 pm ET, with varying buy-ins as low as $10 + $1, the winner of each one guaranteed a free ticket into the main event.
And finally, 3 more tickets will be made available through a $50 + $4 Last Chance Qualifier on Sunday May 3, the day of the main event itself.
