LAPT Lima satellite tournaments run through May 16 at Poker Stars in the form of daily freerolls and cash satellites into the $215 LAPT Lima Qualifier. The freeroll satellites run once daiy at 6 pm ET and award the top 27 players in each a seat in the $11 satellite. There’s also a $0.50 rebuy satellite running daily at 7:30 pm ET Mon-Sat and noon ET on Sundays, each awarding an $11 satellite seat for every $11 in the prize pool.

Then the $11 satellite runs Sundays May 2, 9, and 16 at 2:30 pm ET, each awarding one $215 LAPT Lima qualifier seat for every $215 in the prize pool.

The next phase for each of these candidates is to win your votes to try and land them that dream job, a yearlong contract playing for PokerStars in the Australian New Zealand Poker Tour events. The way that you “vote” for a particular candidate is to register for the special satellite tournament that they are hosting, with 10 satellite tournaments in all, each one to be hosted by a different finalist. Voters may of course only vote for one candidate and therefore can only register for one satellite tournament. The candidate with most number of players registering for their tournament wins the DreamJob Australia. And you win the satisfaction of helping send them there (along with whatever prize money you cash out with from the candidate’s tournament).

For example, every day at Aced Poker there are four $5 Sunday Guaranteed Satellites with 1 rebuy and 1 add-on awarding seats in the weekly Sunday Guaranteed Tournament, two $10 WSOP satellites, and one $50,000 Guaranteed VIP satellite.

That last one, the $50,000 Guaranteed VIP satellite costs 500 VIP point to enter, and does not allow any cash buy-ins. The only way you can enter this tournament is by accumulating VIP points, and one of the best ways to do that is with the remaining slew of daily satellites over at Aced Poker awarding VIP points as their top prizes.

There are three ways to enter the Dream Job USA competition:

• * through freerolls running daily at 8 pm and 11 pm, each awarding 18 seats in the finals
• through Frequent Player Point events costing 10 FPPs to buy-in, each awarding 45 seats in the finals; plus 3 special events costing 1,000 FPPs to buy-in, each awarding 9 seats in the finals
• and of course, through cash qualifiers, twice daily for $1.10 and twice daily for $11, each awarding 1 seat in the finals

Satellites for the Dream Job USA run through November 28 with the winner decided in a November 29 finals at 7 pm ET. You can skip all the satellite options altogether and enter the finals directly for a buy-in of $109.

The 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is made up of fifty different poker events, including the World Cup of Poker, a popular high-roller’s event (won last year by the young poker upstart known as ElkY), two Battleship events (one Head-Up and one Multi-Table), a Mixed 8-Game Championship, and more.

Satellites into the PokerStars 2010 EPT Caribbean Adventure are happening right now and running through the end of the year. Buy-ins start at 111 FFPs and $2.22 and go up to 500 FPPs and $7.50. PokerStars also has live qualifiers intot the 2010 PCA Main Event taking place at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino in the lovely Bahamas during the Jan 4-15 period, however most at-home players will probably want to secure their seat long beforeNew Year’s.

Hollywood Poker has a satellite structure scheme awarding free seats in the GSOP III main event, otherwise known as the Grand Slam Final which happens on October 18. From September 27 to October 11, Hollywood Poker is running GSOP III Leaderboard Tournaments and GSOP III Grand Slam Qualifiers for getting into the big event at low cost (as low as $11). There’s also one Last Chance Qualifier taking place the day of the big event itself.

There’s also a GSOP side-bet going on over at HollywoodPoker, for any player wishing to pay an extra $1,000 into the pot for a chance at some higher-stakes action on top of the $3 million guaranteed prize pool.

The only catch to all this: these WCOOP Challenge events are only open to players from Ireland and the U.K..

With 45 events over 18 days, the WCOOP is set to be one of the year’s biggest online poker tournaments – again.

The buy-ins for the 33 events in the series range mostly in the hundreds of dollars, but you can get yourself into the running much cheaper by entering one of the site’s Extreme Satellites. These satellites will each award either 50 or 100 seats of a particular value. For example, the top 100 placers in one Extreme Satellite may each win a $215 buy-in that they can then apply to any 2009 WCOOP event with a $215 buy-in.

What’s more, the site is running a Satellite Challenge to see who can notch up the most number of satellite wins during the promotion.

Satellite freerolls will be held on Poker Stars’ free, play-money, training site PokerStars.net open to players from 16 countries– Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela + 3 determined by preliminary freeroll–offering the most successful among them a place on their country’s team in the live finals.

Teams have been divided by country into groups that will face-off from week to week. Players attempt to win points for their team by placing in the top 100 in the competition’s freerolls.

At the end of this round, the 8 most successful countries (the 2 with the most number of wins from each of the 4 groups) will fly to a Bariloche, Argentina ski resort for the live finals from September 4 – 6. Players have a second chance at making the finals team too, by being one of the top scoring players during the group stage.

Prize pool is $250,000 and top prize is $100,000.

For 1,000 UltimatePoints you can buy into any of the Daily Satellites running constantly up until August 17. The winner of each satellite goes on to the Main Event – not Scott Ian’s Home Game yet, but the final satellite for those coveted 18 seats.

This main event happens on August 18. You can buy in directly for 10,000 UltimatePoints. The players in the top 10 will all win seats in Scott Ian’s Home Game, August 19, where the top prize is a trip to Aruba and entry into the Aruba Poker Classic.
